School Counseling Webinar Series: Groups in Schools

Presenters: Dr. Terri Mason and Jamee Lyons

This will be a presentation and discussion with an elementary school counselor and a middle school
counselor on how they do groups in their schools. Psycho-educational groups are a great way to
enhance students social, emotional, and academic skills in a fun and safe environment.

Objectives:

• To understand the benefits of groups for students k-12
• To understand how groups are conducted in schools
• To gain insights into how groups are constructed in schools
